My Design Philosophy
My design Career started in 1977 working as a merchandiser for Ethan Allen in Buffalo New York. I have a love for Design, Color and Space Planning, that has allowed me to go to work every day never really thinking of it as work. I find a great deal of joy in making things beautiful, and love to share my talent with my clients
Space Planning, Color, Fabrics, Furniture; just where do you start on a great design? I start every project with the person using the space, to find out what your needs are. I truly believe that form must follow function, and great design reflects the client who is using the space.
Great design should excite all your senses. Fabrics need to be scaled to the item on which they are placed, they should be luxurious to the touch and wear to the life of the piece. Wood furniture pieces should have function as well as being beautiful. There are so many things to consider when designing your space.
